A 1-day national workshop in Nuku’alofa and Vava’u Island to present the results of the implementation of Frontline in both islands of Tonga. TCDT hosted the workshop along with partners MEIDECC. Additional goals were to identify cooperation and partnering opportunities between CSOs and government agencies around increasing disaster resilience and monitoring the TSDF II.

A 1-day national workshop in Phnom Penh to present the results of the implementation of Frontline in Cambodia to a range of representatives from DRR actors in the country. Hosted by Save the Earth Cambodia, its primary aims were to share the key research findings from the Frontline programme about the 14 participating villages in Cambodia and to seek feedback, cooperation, commitment and partnering opportunities between the participant stakeholders.

A 1-day national workshop in Yakarta to present the results of the implementation of Frontline in Indonesia. Hosted by YEU, the National Platform for DRR and 7 DRR Forums, its primary aims were to share the results of the Frontline programme in Indonesia and to Identify cooperation and partnering opportunities between CSOs and government agencies around increasing disaster resilience and monitoring the SFDRR.

A 1-day national workshop in Delhi on the theme Translating Global Frameworks to Frontline Resilience Action. Hosted by SEEDS and AADRR with support from GNDR, Christian Aid, CANSA, and ADRRN, its primary aims were to share the results of the Frontline programme in India and, to provide a national platform to all partners, networks and CSOs working on DRR, CCA, and development issues.

20th-22nd December 2015 | Conference
500 participants from 15 high level Arab ministerial delegations gathering to discuss DRR, Social Justice and Planning/Sustainable Development. Essam Nada, in representation of GNDR's Northern Africa and Western Asia regional hub attended and reported on this event.
Different ACT Climate Ambassadors will be present at COP21 to have meetings with delegation leaders and several state delegations have ACT Alliance participation. We highlight 4 events ACT Alliance is involved at COP21.

An opportunity for sharing, learning, stocktaking and consolidating good practice and networking focused on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
The Joint Initiative for Advocacy in Disaster Risk Reduction in Madagascar, ICPM (Initiative Commune de Plaidoyer pour la Réduction des Risques des Catastrophes à Madagascar), along with the Madagascar delegation will be running and contributing to many events during the COP21, including a side event on REDD+ at the interface of biodiversity, climate change and human right; a side event on Incentivized, participatory approach to mangrove conservation in Madagascar; and a stand on Innovative experiences against climate change in Africa. This session will discuss the link between nutrition and climate change and the need for this to recognised in the climate change agreement and for finance to be sufficiently mobilised.
