Programme of the event

The NAPPDRR Nigeria sponsored training on aqua-culture for youths of Esit Eket L.G.A. The event was successfully hosted at the riverine risk zone of IDUA NTAK INYANG and Esit Eket L.G.A in Akwa Ibom State, a flood prone community.

The training was jointly sponsored by GNDR and CDCRM, Oyo state, as part of the Frontline programme. Over 25 trainees attended to the training, delivered by Mr. Friday Abraham, a seasoned aqua-culture specialist from the Ministry of Agriculture, Akwa Ibom state.

The event was inaugurated by the Executive Chairman of Esit Eket L.G.A, represented by the Secretary of the Council-Hon. Emem Edukere. Other important dignitaries at this important DRR event were the Divisional Police Officer of the area, the village Head of Idua Ntak Inyang community-Chief Oscar Okon Moses, community leaders, etc. The NCO of the Frontline programme in Nigeria, Mr. Kola Amusat was present too. At the end of the training, a NAPPDRR CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION was presented to the trainees.
