Regional Development Coordinator Western Africa
Before joining GNDR, Kossivi Nevaeme Adessou worked in Lomé as a Project Manager for the Togo based NGO Jeunes Volontaires pour l’Environnement-International. As part of his duties, Adessou spent one year in Mozambique, providing administrative and technical support to FEDESMO (Forum for Sustainable Energy and development Mozambique), a Mozambican national network fully committed to build resilience against climate change by sharing knowledge on technologies and implementation strategies for sustainable energy services for households.
Adessou brings a fresh approach, loads of energy and a strong commitment to GNDR. He has coordinated and participated in the recent past in many initiatives linking youth people and volunteerism with community development and education on renewable energies, the environment and sustainable development.
Adessou holds a Master’s degree in Literature and has completed studies in International Environmental Law with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), based in Geneva. He is fluent in French (mother tongue) and English, and speaks basic German. He has worked in Togo, Ghana and Mozambique and travelled extensively across Africa, including Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Benin, Burkina Faso, and South Africa.
