The Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) is searching for a successor to its founding Executive Director to lead its secretariat and global network. You will be working to reduce disaster risk around the world and increase community resilience. We are looking for a strategic leader and communicator with a commitment to the role of civil society in building disaster resilience and strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) at the grassroots level. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing network with a vital role to play in a world facing climate change and other geopolitical disruptions.
The GNDR network has over 850 members in more than 140 countries. Our members seek candidates with global familiarity with DRR (especially the Sendai Framework and Agenda 2030) and rich experience with consortia or networks. GNDR is going through a period of growth and change so the successful candidate will also show strong skills in leading people and organisations as well as building and sustaining relationships.
The Executive Director will be based in Teddington, London, UK and the salary range is £65,000 - £86,000 per year. Fluent English is required, with Spanish and French desirable.
