This webinar will present key features of localisation as an approach for resilience-building and risk-informed development. In the session, participants will learn more about a toolkit to integrate risk consideration into development activities. The toolkit is a product currently being developed by GNDR, and it aims to support local and national CSOs to design holistic resilience-building actions. The tool will provide guidance on how to plan for complex disasters and utilise local risk information in development activities.
Participants attending the webinar will gain an overview of the main elements of localisation and risk-informed development in the context of the GNDR strategy. They will also be able to describe the key principles of integrating risk information into development actions. With this, they will gain access to a set of essential tools that can be used to do risk-informed development at the local and national level.
This event is the first in a series of webinars being run over the next several monthsby GNDR.
