ACCRA is organising many events at COP21, of which just a couple are shown below:
“Success of Climate and Development - Adaptation in LDCs”
6 December 13:45 – 15:00, Breakout Room 1, Salon Dorvault.
This session will seek to understand how climate adaptation can be managed for developmental outcomes in LDCs and SIDS. This is supported through our Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance.
“Our Futures: young people’s experience of climate change impacts and solutions”
Tuesday 1st December, 11.45 – 13.15pm, Climate Generations, Room 10.
A youth led event aimed to ensure the opinions and experience of young people are heard by decision makers and raise the profile of child centred approaches.
The Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance (ACCRA) is a two-year DFID-funded programme that focuses on a high priority research area: adaptive capacity in rural livelihoods. It is a consortium that works to increase governments’ and development actors’ use of evidence in designing and implementing humanitarian and development interventions to increase poor and vulnerable communities’ adaptive capacity. Consortium partners include the Overseas Development Institute, CARE, Oxfam GB, Save the Children and World Vision
