We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in Monitoring and Evaluation and a passion for Disaster Risk Reduction / Risk Informed Development to coordinate the MEAL activities of the GNDR network. This is also an exciting time to join GNDR as we embark on our new five year strategy.
The MEAL Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL) at corporate and project levels and inputting into the design of projects. The role will particularly focus on the setting in place of MEAL systems and embedding this into GNDR’s practice. The role will also ensure that each project has a MEAL framework in place; support the collection, analysis and presentation of data for internal and donor reporting; support the design of new projects; facilitate internal learning reviews as required; and review and analyse project reports and evaluations to capture key learning.
Candidates will be educated to degree level in a relevant international development subject and have a strong understanding and experience of MEAL. Candidates must also have experience in programme management and implementation of large scale donor programmes. Exposure and understanding of the issues surrounding disasters, DRR, and development would be expected. Fluency is required in English, with additional French or Spanish being desirable.
The role can be based in any of GNDR’s offices in London, Nairobi, Dakar, Bangkok, or Delhi, though initially working from home. Candidates must have the right to live and work in one of these locations.
