GNDR is seeking a Consultant to provide fundraising support on a short-term basis over the next 3 months. The purpose of the consultancy is to ensure GNDR members’ access to grant opportunities and support their fundraising activities; and to develop proposals for GNDR submission as required.
Scope of work
Scanning of grant opportunities from online platforms such as FundsforNGOs and uploading relevant grants onto our Community Platform for members to access;
Coordinate the development of proposals as and when they arise;
Support members to fundraise in consortia, by providing advice, reviewing concept notes, and organising trainings;
Follow up with existing donors on negotiations for further funding;
A total of 30 days, ideally 3 days a week, from early July to end of September.
Accountability and support
The Consultant will report to Lucy Pearson, Head of Strategy and Development, and work closely with other Secretariat positions as well as with the wider GNDR membership.
This is a home-based consultancy and candidates can be based in any country.
Candidates will have substantial experience in fundraising from both institutional donors and foundations and trusts, including coordinating submissions and writing proposals. Candidates should have experience of working with consortia, particularly with local CSOs. Candidates must have a sound understanding of the international humanitarian and development sector, including disaster risk reduction concepts. Candidates will also have excellent written English skills and be able to clearly write to institutional donor standards.
