GNDR re-elected to UNDRR SEM
We are delighted to announce that GNDR’s Head of Policy, Becky Murphy, has been re-elected as Co-Chair of the UNDRR Stakeholder Engagement Mechanism (SEM).
We strongly encourage all GNDR members who have not yet joined the SEM to sign up now.
The UN Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 is an international framework that has been endorsed by all UN Member States. It provides guidance to governments and stakeholders in reducing disaster risk and building resilience. The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Stakeholder Engagement Mechanism (SEM) offers a structured and inclusive platform for non-state actors to contribute to the implementation of the Sendai Framework. It enables stakeholders to amplify their voices and actions in support of disaster risk reduction, prevention, resilience building, and the integration of systemic risk into the broader 2030 Agenda.
