Guillaume Devars, from CARE France says "We have exposed our good practice in DRR, tested not only in the Region but in all areas of intervention of our DRR program (all along the Eastern cost of Madagascar). The Prime Minister, the Chief of Atsinanana Region and a UNDP representative were attentive to our explanations. During the ceremony we ensured the presence of 3 representatives of vulnerable groups:
- Child: a member of a girl group, young participant in programs of strengthening leadership and capacity in DRR. She participates in advocacy of young people like her. She carries messages to influence her family for adopting DRR principles.
- Disabled person: representative of the social group of persons with special needs in the DRR preparation plan at community level.
- Older person: Member of Village Saving and Loans Associations witnessed about how thanks to the VLSA, his resilience to chock livelihoods of the household have improved.
