GNDR member CESAP from Venezuela celebrated the IDDR 2015 with the conference "La importancia de los conocimientos locales y ancestrales, en la gestión del riesgo de desastres para la creación de resiliencia y el desarrollo sostenible en los territorios", hosted in partnership with UNDP.

The keynote speech was delivered by the Architect Mr. Jaime Valdés. Director of ELADES (Latin American School of Sustainable Development & Resilience), followed by a questions and answers session and dialogue with those attending the event.

The President of Grupo Social CESAP, Ms. Diana Vegas, opened the event with words of welcome, together with Ms. Maribel Gutiérrez., Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme for Venezuela.
