30 CSOs advocating together a pact for DRR in Burkina Faso

The National Advocacy Network for Disaster Risk Reduction (Réseau MARP Burkina) held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, a validation workshop on Friday 11th September to establish a pact on disaster risk reduction. The pact was submitted to all presidential candidates on 11th October and advocates for the integration of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) as a priority in their sustainable development programmes.

BIFERD, East DRC

BIFERD celebrated in North Kivu, DRC, the IDDR 2015 with a presentation to a 500 audience on community evacuation plans, the Sendai Framework and the impacts of Climate Change. It was attended by more than 500 people inckuding local media, universities and secondary schools among other institutional actors.

NADDAF, Togo

NADDAF celebrates the IDDR 2015 with a workshop to mobilise CSOs, Community Committees for Development, Neighbourhood committees and young people around disaster risk reduction and climate change, under the theme "The challenge of flooding in the city of Lomé and its surroundings, and issues with Paris COP21".
