Civil Society IMPACT DRR was a USAID/OFDA Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Regional funded project coordinated by the GNDR Secretariat and implemented by GNDR members in the LAC region. It aimed to build collaboration capacities among networks in the LAC region in order to enhance the ability of civil society organisations to contribute to the impact of the Sendai Framework for DRR at the community level.
2017|Regional Central American Workshop
The workshop was an opportunity to introduce GNDR's new regional governance structure and to promote the benefits of sharing knowledge and best practices at region level. Participants came from all over the LAC region. Organised by GNDR's Regional DevelopementCoordinator in LAC, Mave Bastias, the subregional workshop aimed at identifying appropriate actions for our members to work together in order to enhance their disaster management and advocacy capacity.

GNDR members from Latin America, passionate about climate change, have formed a working group to jointly develop a position paper on climate change and resilience ahead of the COP21 in December. This paper provides a regional perspective on the ongoing negotiations of a climate change agreement and puts forward 5 recommendations for the COP21.
